Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Indianapolis 500: 29th May 2022
Home to the "greatest spectacle in racing", the Indianapolis 500, the IMS features a 2-mile track and 560-acre infield, and is the largest-capacity sports arena in the world with seating for over 250,000 spectators.

Indiana Fever
Bankers Life Fieldhouse
Indiana is a basketball state: have you ever seen the classic film Hoosiers? Regularly appearing in the playoffs, and winning the national championship in 2013, the Fever play in the same colors and on the same court as their male counterparts.
Fever tickets tend to be cheaper than tickets to the men's games, meaning you can get much closer to the court. The women's season starts in May, so there will be regular season games in the weeks around the wedding.

Indiana Pacers
BANKERS LIFE FIELDHOUSE
The Pacers, like most professional sports teams, can be difficult to predict. If their 2019-2020 season goes (exceptionally) well, they may still be playing in Indianapolis be the time of the wedding.
If you are interested in seeing a game, you will have to be quick to get play-off series tickets as soon as the regular season ends in mid-April. Expect tickets to go quickly and at exorbitant prices.
If you are interested in Basketball generally, we recommend checking out the Fever, Indiana's professional women's team, who will still be in their regular season in June.

Indy Eleven
Lucas Oil Stadium
Named for the famous 11th Indiana Volunteer Infantry Regiment who fought for the Union/North in the American Civil War, the Eleven are the only professional soccer team in Indiana.
The Eleven play in a minor league, rather than the United State's full-pro National Soccer League, so Eleven games tend to be cheaper, although still well attended.

Indianapolis Indians
Victory Field
Indiana does not have a professional baseball (MLB) team: instead, it is home to the minor league Indians.
Have the quintessential American experience and enjoy a game in the sunset, eating hot dogs and drinking beer at Indianapolis's baseball diamond.
Only a block from the White River State Park museum campus, an evening game is the perfect way to relax after a day in museums.

Lucas Oil Stadium
Although the American football season runs from August-February, it is still possible to get a feel for the game in June by touring Lucas Oil Stadium, the home of the Indianapolis Colts.
Tours run most weekdays at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm - you can buy tickets online. If you are interested in seeing the stadium in action, consider attending an Indy Eleven soccer game, which are played here.
