Chicago Bulls

UNITED CENTER

The Bulls, Chicago's professional men's basketball team, may still be playing in Chicago by the time of the wedding. Or, they may have already been eliminated from the play-off tournament!

If you are interested in seeing a game, you will have to be quick to get play-off series tickets as soon as the regular season ends in mid-April. Expect tickets to go quickly and at exorbitant prices.

If you are interested in Basketball generally, we recommend checking out the Sky, Chicago's professional women's team, who will still be in their regular season in June.

Chicago Sky

WINTRUST ARENA

If you are a basketball fan, we recommend checking out the Sky. Less popular than their male counterparts, tickets to their games tend to be cheaper and easier to acquire. This means you can sit way closer to the action!

Because their regular season starts in May, a few weeks after the men's season ends, they will still be playing home games in Chicago in the weeks around the wedding.

Chicago Cubs

WRIGLEY FIELD

Founded in 1876, the Chicago Cubs were a founding team in modern Major League Baseball. Following the longest championship drought in professional baseball (108 years), the Cubs won their 3rd World Series title in 2016.

Grab a hotdog and some beer at the historic Wrigley Field for a Cubs game, or just swing by to snap a picture in front of Wrigley Field's iconic red marquee.

Chicago White Sox

GUARANTEED RATE FIELD

Another of the historic American baseball teams, the White Sox are the Cub's Chicago counterparts. Both teams play in Major League Baseball (MLB), but in opposite conferences.

Slightly less popular than the Cubs, the White Sox play at the less well-known Guaranteed Rate Field.

Chicago Fire

SEATGEEK STADIUM

Named for the famous (and devastating) 1871 blaze, the Fire are Chicago's professional soccer team. Unlike the Indy Eleven, the Fire's minor league affiliate, the Fire play in Major League Soccer (MSL). After winning both the MLS Cup and the U.S. Open Cup in their 1998 opening season, the Fire have had wildly variable seasons. Regular season games are played throughout the summer.

Chicago Blackhawks

UNITED CENTER

One of the more successful teams in the National Hockey League, the Chicago Blackhawks have won the Stanley Cup several times since 2009, most recently in 2015. Depending on the Blackhawks' regular season record, they may still be playing in the NHL playoffs in early June.

If you are interested in seeing a Blackhawk game, be prepared to purchase tickets as soon as play-off games are announced in mid-April. They would have to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals in order to play in June.

Soldier Field

Although the American football season runs from August-February, it is still possible to get a feel for the game in June by touring Soldier Field, the home of the Chicago Bears. Dedicated to American war veterans, Soldier Field is often described as a "UFO that landed on a classical building".

Tours run most weekdays, both as scheduled group tours and public tours - you can buy tickets online. The stadium sits on the end of Chicago's Museum Campus, with easy access to the Field Museum, the Adler Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, and Lake Michigan.
